Sukkot

There will be two resurrections

The first group:

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.

The Saints of the first resurrection will come back to life when Jesus returns at the end of the tribulation. They will go live, reign, and rule in heaven for 1000 years. After the 1000 years are over the saints will return to earth to rule, assist, and teach until God’s final salvation plan is complete. It’s known as The Grape Harvest. The Saints new bodies will be immortal like Jesus they will never die again.

The second group:

Revelation 20:5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended

The bodies of the second group when they come back to life will only be flesh and blood yet whole, however, they can still die the second death mentioned in the book of Revelation. When they come back to life they are still under judgment.

They will come back to life and take part for a short time in Sukkot also known as:

Feast of Booths
or
Feast of Tabernacles

Simply meaning temporary structures to live in during a time of learning and repenting.

All lost souls including the pre-flood world people will come back to life with flesh and blood and whole bodies to learn about Jesus. And every knee will bow and confess Jesus is Lord.

Romans 14: 11-12 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give an account of himself to God

  • They will build their own temporary homes (Sukkot)
  • Grow their own food
  • Keep the Sabbath
  • Learn truth assisted by the saints of the first resurrection
  • The saints will worship, intercede and communicate the knowledge of Jesus.

Also, there will be a new temple built by the BRANCH meaning, Jesus.

Zech 6:12 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD.

This temple is also mentioned in the book of Ezekiel in detail. The lost will learn and repent, however,

There is a catch!

During the 1000 years, the Saints will be living in heaven.

The wicked and lost souls will still asleep in death during the 1000 years.

Also, during the 1000 years, Satan will be chained up in a pit with all his fallen angels and demons.

Here’s the catch and it won’t be easy for the second resurrection people.

Satan will be set free at the end of the 1000 years to roam the earth one last time in order to tempt and deceive all the people of the second resurrection, and many will follow Satan again.

Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison

The people of the second resurrection will have to be tested. Many loved ones of the Saints will willingly follow Satan, and will even attempt to attack the Saints camped outside the city, but God will destroy them with fire.

Revelation 20:9-10 And they went up on the breadth of the earth and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Finally, Satan meets his doom! The beast and false prophet were destroyed during God’s wrath after the great tribulation.

The bible tells us Jesus will wipe away the saint’s tears to comfort them.

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

How long will Sukkot last?

The bible isn’t clear on the exact timing but there is a small insight below.

Isaiah 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die a hundred years old; but the sinner being a hundred years old shall be accursed

Also, Satan is set free after the 1000 years of prison to tempt and deceive for only a little season

Revelation 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that, he must be loosed a little season.

The bible isn’t clear how long a little season is.

No matter the timing of Sukkot God’s final plan of salvation is perfect.

How does Sukkot end?

Remember in the bible when Jesus told some of the disciples to go to the Feast of Tabernacle (Sukkot) without him? Jesus went on the last day in secret and shouted that anyone who believes in him will be saved.

John 7:8-10 Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.
When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee. But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.

John 7:37-38 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Did you understand? Jesus was acting out future prophecy!

So, in the future on the last day of Sukkot, Jesus will arrive and many will be saved fulling prophecy

Romans 11:25-27 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins.

Ezekiel. 43:10-11 Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern. And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.

The closing of Sukkot: The last day

After Sukkot is over the lost, who repented and accepted Jesus, will receive their immortal bodies and live forever.

But the lost who reject Jesus will die the second death.

Revelation 21:6-8 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

There are three harvests of souls to God.

  • Jesus resurrection from death was the first fruit to God (Barley harvest)
  • When Jesus returns at the end of tribulation the saints will be resurrected. (Wheat harvest)
  • On the last day of Sukkot, many lost will be saved from the second death and will receive their immortal bodies. (Grape harvest was last )

Here is another insight to the mysteries of God’s harvest

God commanded the Israelites: “Three times a year shall all your men appear before the Lord your God in the place that God will choose on the festivals of:

  • Passover was in the springtime (time of the barley harvest)
  • Shavuot was a short time after Passover (wheat harvest)
  • Sukkot was at the end of the year the last feast (grape harvest)

The bigger picture of the three pilgrimages represented the harvested souls to God each in their own order.

  • Jesus was the first to God after his resurrection (barley)
  • Saints at the end of the tribulation (wheat)
  • All of Israel is saved along with many gentiles (grapes)

After the final harvest of souls then God’s new bride comes down to earth forever.

Revelation 21:9,10 I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

Revelation 21:1-5 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.v nd I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
